Painting animal portraits with pastels is one of my great passions. When I paint the eyes of an animal, I automatically develop a personal relationship with it. It is as if they are looking back at me and accompanying me through the entire painting process. I also love working on textures. Only when I can literally feel the fur with my fingers, regardless of whether it is soft or rough, can I say the picture is finished.
